Princess Zoombella loved butterflies. She loved their bright wings. She loved how they danced in the air. One sunny morning, a tiny blue butterfly landed on her nose. "Oh!" said Princess Zoombella. "Where did you come from, little friend?" The butterfly fluttered its wings and flew away—toward a big, shimmery rainbow bridge.
"Wait!" called Princess Zoombella. She ran to find her best friend. "Blinky Sparx! Come quick! A butterfly wants to show us something!" Blinky Sparx beeped and booped with excitement. His sparkly silver body twinkled in the sun. "A mystery! I love mysteries!" he said. "Let's follow it!"
The rainbow bridge was big and bright. It glowed with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. It smelled like warm sunshine and sweet flowers. The tiny blue butterfly with iridescent wings flew across it. Princess Zoombella and Blinky Sparx followed, step by step. Where would the bridge take them? Can you guess?
The bridge led to a golden sand market! Warm, spicy smells floated through the air. Cinnamon! Ginger! Everything smelled so good. A friendly seller waved from behind baskets of colorful spices. "As-salaam alaikum!" the seller called out. That means "Peace be with you!" Princess Zoombella smiled big and tried it too. "As-salaam alaikum!" she said. The seller clapped with joy.
But oh no! The path to the next land was blocked by a big golden door. On the door was a puzzle—three shapes! A circle, a triangle, and a star. "I can solve it!" said Blinky Sparx. His antenna blinked. Blink, blink, blink! He matched each shape to its spot. Click! The golden door swung open. "Hooray!" cheered Princess Zoombella. They tasted sweet, sticky dates before they left. Yum!
The tiny blue butterfly with iridescent wings led them across the rainbow bridge again. This time they came to a snowy mountain village! Jingle, jingle, jingle! Little bells rang everywhere. The air was cold and crisp. It tickled their noses! A kind villager in a cozy red coat waved. "Namaste!" the villager said with a little bow. That means "I honor you!"
Princess Zoombella put her hands together and bowed, just like the villager. "Namaste!" she said softly. The villager smiled so wide! When you say hello the way someone else does, it makes them feel special. Soft drumming music floated through the village. Boom, ba-boom, boom! Princess Zoombella and Blinky Sparx tapped their feet. They couldn't help but dance!
Another door! This one was icy blue with a puzzle. Snowflake patterns—but one was missing! "Hmm," said Blinky Sparx. His big blue eyes scanned the shapes. Blink, blink, blink! He found the right snowflake and popped it into place. Click! The icy blue door opened wide. They sipped warm, sweet chai tea before moving on. It tasted like cozy hugs!
The rainbow bridge carried them one more time. Now they were in a lush green jungle! Warm, wet air wrapped around them like a soft blanket. Butterflies danced everywhere—orange ones, yellow ones, pink ones! Happy music played on wooden flutes. Toot-toot-tooooot! But wait. Princess Zoombella saw someone peeking from behind a big leafy tree.
A shy little friend hid behind the tree. Princess Zoombella did not run over. She did not shout. She sat down softly on the mossy ground. She gave a gentle wave. And she waited. Sometimes when someone feels shy, the kindest thing you can do is wait. Slowly, slowly, the little friend peeked out more. Princess Zoombella whispered, "Hola." That means "Hello!" The shy friend smiled and whispered back, "Hola."
Blinky Sparx solved one last puzzle—a door covered in vines with leaf shapes to match. Blink, blink, blink! Click! But this time, the door didn't lead to a new land. It led back to the rainbow bridge. The shy friend waved goodbye, no longer hiding. All the butterflies from every land—blue, orange, yellow, pink—followed Princess Zoombella and Blinky Sparx onto the bridge.
Princess Zoombella and Blinky Sparx sat on the rainbow bridge. The sunset painted the sky in orange and pink and gold. Butterflies from every land swirled together in one beautiful dance. Blue and orange. Yellow and pink. All different. All beautiful together. "Blinky," whispered Princess Zoombella, "how many more places do you think are out there?" Blinky Sparx's antenna glowed softly. "So many," he said. "So many hellos we haven't learned yet." Princess Zoombella hugged her knees and smiled. Tomorrow, the rainbow bridge would glow again.
