Good morning, garden! The sun is up. The red flowers sway. The yellow flowers nod. The blue flowers wave hello. But wait — what happened last night?
Oh no! The wind blew and blew last night. Whoooosh! Leaves are tossed. Petals are scattered. Little homes are broken. Buzzywhirl hears tiny cries. "Who needs help?" Buzzywhirl asks.
"Me! Me!" says a small ladybug. Her little leaf-roof house fell down. "The wind broke my home," she says. She is sad. "Do not worry," says Buzzywhirl. "I can help! Let me try."
Buzzywhirl tries to fix the leaf-roof. Oops! It falls. Buzzywhirl tries again. Oops! It falls again. "That is okay," says Buzzywhirl. "I will keep trying. Try, try again!" Pop! The leaf stays up!
"Thank you, Buzzywhirl!" says the ladybug. She is happy now. She crawls inside her cozy leaf home. But wait — Buzzywhirl hears more tiny cries. "Who needs help?"
"Me! Me!" says a wiggly pink worm. His tunnel home is full of mud. "The wind pushed mud inside," he says. He is sad. "Do not worry," says Buzzywhirl. "I can help! Let me try."
Buzzywhirl scoops the mud. Scoop, scoop, scoop! But there is so much mud. It is too hard to do alone. "Can you help me?" Buzzywhirl asks the ladybug. "Yes!" When something is too hard, it is good to ask a friend.
Scoop, scoop, scoop! Together they clean the tunnel. All done! "Thank you, friends!" says the worm. He wiggles down into his clean home. But wait — Buzzywhirl hears one more tiny cry. "Who needs help?"
"Me! Me!" says a tiny snail. Her shell has a crack. "The wind knocked me over," she says. She is sad. "Do not worry," says Buzzywhirl. "We will help! Let us try together."
Buzzywhirl finds sticky flower sap at the tiny wooden workbench. The ladybug brings a soft petal. The worm brings a bit of silk. They patch the crack. Try, try again — and ask for help! The shell is fixed!
All the friends are happy! "Let us build something new — together!" says Buzzywhirl. They find sticks and leaves and petals. They build a big, beautiful garden table where everyone can sit. What a team!
Night comes softly. The stars twinkle — one, two, three. Buzzywhirl sits at the new garden table and looks up, up, up. "I wonder," Buzzywhirl whispers, "what will we build tomorrow?" Goodnight, Buzzywhirl. Goodnight, garden.
