Ezra sits cross-legged beneath the big oak tree, holding an open book in his lap, looking up curiously from the pages with a gentle smile on his face. In the background, a sunny meadow stretches out with a colorful flower garden and a bright blue sky.

Ezra loved to sit under his big oak tree. It had wide branches and cool, soft shade. Every day, he would bring a book and read and read. But today, something caught his eye.

Ezra stands beneath the big oak tree, pointing one finger up at the sky, his face full of delight as the fluffy white cloud floats above him. In the background, a bright blue sky with a single fluffy white cloud and the sunny meadow.

Ezra looked up at the sky. One fluffy white cloud drifted by, slow and soft. "I can count that!" said Ezra. "One cloud!" He held up one finger and grinned. Then he heard a buzzy sound near his ear.

Ezra crouches near a yellow flower, watching the two fuzzy bees with wide, curious eyes, counting on his fingers. In the background, the colorful flower garden blooms beside the big oak tree under the sunny sky.

Two fuzzy bees buzzed around a yellow flower. "One, two!" Ezra counted. "Two bees!" He watched them dance from petal to petal. Then he heard a little splash from the pond nearby.

Ezra kneels at the edge of a small pond, laughing and pointing at the three little frogs sitting on lily pads, one of them mid-hop. In the background, the sunny meadow and the big oak tree stand peacefully beyond the pond.

Three little frogs sat on three round lily pads. Hop, hop, hop! "One, two, three!" said Ezra. "Three frogs!" He giggled as one frog jumped into the water with a plop. Then he looked back at his garden.

Ezra bends down in the colorful flower garden, peering closely at four red ladybugs on a big green leaf, with five purple flowers swaying beside him. In the background, the big oak tree and the bright meadow glow under the warm sun.

Four red ladybugs crawled on a leaf. Five purple flowers swayed in the breeze. "Four ladybugs! Five flowers!" Ezra counted each one carefully. Counting was like a game, and he wanted to keep going!

Ezra walks through the sunny meadow with arms gently outstretched as seven colorful butterflies flutter around him, with six smooth gray stones lined along the path at his feet. In the background, wildflowers dot the green meadow under the bright blue sky.

Ezra walked through the meadow. He found six smooth stones by the path. Seven butterflies fluttered past his nose! "Six stones! Seven butterflies!" he said. Each number made him feel a little more proud.

Ezra stands beneath the big oak tree looking up, counting eight small birds perched on the wide branches, with nine acorns scattered on the ground around his feet. In the background, the bright blue sky peeks through the oak tree's green leaves.

Up in the big oak tree, eight birds sang a happy song. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight!" Ezra counted every bird. Nine acorns lay under the tree. "Nine acorns!" he cheered. The numbers were getting bigger!

Ezra kneels beside a neat row of ten white daisies along a garden path, clapping his hands together with a joyful expression on his face. In the background, the sky glows pink and orange as the sun sets behind the meadow.

The sun began to set. The sky turned pink and orange. Ezra counted ten daisies in a row along the garden path. "Ten! That is ten!" he said. "I am halfway to twenty!" He clapped his hands with joy.

Ezra lies on his back on the soft grass near the big oak tree, gazing up at the sky with wonder as eleven glowing fireflies drift around him and twelve bright stars twinkle above. In the background, the dusky sky shifts from deep blue to purple over the quiet meadow.

The sky grew darker. Tiny stars began to peek out. Ezra lay on the soft grass and looked up. He counted eleven fireflies blinking in the garden. Then twelve bright stars popped into the sky! "Eleven fireflies! Twelve stars!" he whispered.

Ezra sits up on the grass beneath the big oak tree, looking puzzled with his brow scrunched and one hand on his chin, staring up at a glittering night sky bursting with twinkling stars. In the background, the dark night sky is filled with countless twinkling stars above the shadowy meadow.

More and more stars filled the sky. Ezra counted on. "Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen..." He paused. Wait. Was that fifteen or fourteen? "Oh no!" said Ezra. "I lost count!" He sat up and rubbed his eyes. The stars were so many and so bright!

Ezra stands tall beneath the big oak tree, one arm stretched high pointing at the stars, his face beaming with pride and excitement as the glittering night sky sparkles with twenty twinkling stars above him. In the background, the dark meadow rests quietly under the brilliant, star-filled sky.

Ezra took a deep breath. "I can try again," he said softly. He pointed to each star, one by one. "Thirteen... fourteen... fifteen... sixteen... seventeen... eighteen... nineteen... TWENTY!" Ezra jumped up. "I did it! I counted to twenty!"

Ezra curls up at the base of the big oak tree, his book resting beside him, eyes gently closed with a peaceful, happy smile as soft starlight bathes him in a warm glow. In the background, the glittering night sky is full of twinkling stars above the quiet, moonlit meadow.

Ezra curled up under his big oak tree with a happy smile. He had counted clouds and bees, frogs and flowers, birds and stars — all the way to twenty! "Tomorrow," he yawned, "I will count even more." And with that, he closed his eyes under the twinkling sky.
