Ezra sitting cross-legged under the tall oak tree in his peaceful backyard, holding an open book in his lap and smiling contentedly, surrounded by soft green grass and a few fallen leaves. In the background, colorful houses line a friendly street under a bright blue sky with puffy white clouds.

Ezra lived in a bright little town with colorful houses and friendly streets. His favorite spot in the whole wide world was under the tall oak tree in his backyard. Every day, he sat in the cool shade and read his favorite books.

Ezra sitting under the tall oak tree, holding his special book open wide, his eyes big with wonder as he reads, with a dreamy smile on his face. In the background, the peaceful backyard with warm morning sunlight filtering through the oak tree's leafy branches.

One sunny morning, Ezra opened a new book. It was a story about a little bear who helped everyone in the forest. The bear shared berries, carried sticks, and told funny jokes to cheer up his friends. "Wow," said Ezra. "Helping others makes the world a better place!"

Ezra walking happily down a sunny sidewalk, wearing his backpack, skipping with one foot off the ground, hugging his special book before tucking it away. In the background, a row of cheerful colorful houses with flower boxes along a friendly street.

Ezra closed the book and hugged it tight. "I want to help, too!" he said. He put the book into his backpack and headed off to school. His feet went skip, skip, skip down the sunny sidewalk.

Ezra kneeling on the classroom floor, carefully gathering colorful crayons, while the classroom friend sits at a small table looking down at him with a surprised expression. In the background, a cozy classroom with cubbies, a colorful rug, and big sunny windows.

At school, Ezra saw a friend sitting at a table. Her crayons had tumbled off and rolled all over the floor! "Oh no!" she said with a frown. Ezra bent down and picked up every single crayon—red, blue, yellow, and green.

Ezra standing beside the table, handing a bunch of colorful crayons to the classroom friend, who is smiling brightly back at him, both looking happy. In the background, the cozy classroom with children's artwork hanging on the walls and a big sunny window.

"Here you go!" said Ezra, placing the crayons back on the table. "Thank you, Ezra!" said his friend with a big smile. Helping felt warm and good, like sunshine in his chest. Help, help, help—Ezra wanted to help some more!

Ezra reaching up to take a small grocery bag from Mom, who is holding two large brown paper grocery bags, both standing near a car in front of their colorful house. In the background, the front of their cheerful house with a bright door and flower garden.

After school, Ezra went home. Mom was carrying two big bags of groceries from the car. They looked heavy! "Can I help, Mom?" asked Ezra. "That would be wonderful!" said Mom.

Ezra walking carefully through the front door carrying a brown paper grocery bag with both arms, concentrating hard, while Mom follows behind him with a loving smile. In the background, a warm and tidy entryway leading into a cozy kitchen.

Ezra carried a bag all the way to the kitchen. Step, step, step—he was careful not to drop it. "You are such a good helper," said Mom, giving him a hug. Ezra smiled. Helping Mom felt just as good as helping his friend at school!

Ezra standing at the bottom of porch steps, looking up at the lonely neighbor who is sitting in a rocking chair on her porch, both smiling at each other. In the background, a quaint porch with potted flowers and a quiet, friendly street.

Later that day, Ezra walked down the street and saw a lonely neighbor sitting on her porch. She looked a little sad. "Would you like me to read you a story?" asked Ezra. "Oh, I would love that!" said the neighbor, her eyes lighting up.

Ezra standing with his backpack open, looking inside with a worried and sad expression, his hands searching through the empty bag. In the background, the friendly street with colorful houses and the neighbor's porch.

Ezra reached into his backpack to find his special book. He looked and looked, but it was not there! "Oh no!" said Ezra. "My book is gone!" His heart felt heavy, like a rock in his chest. Where could it be?

Ezra sitting alone under the tall oak tree in his backyard, hugging his knees to his chest, looking down with a sad face. In the background, the peaceful backyard with soft afternoon light and colorful houses beyond the fence.

Ezra walked home slowly. He looked on the sidewalk. He looked by the car. He looked in the kitchen. But his special book was nowhere to be found. Ezra sat under his tall oak tree and felt very sad.

Ezra leaping up with joy under the tall oak tree as the classroom friend holds out his special book, with Mom and the lonely neighbor standing together beside her, everyone smiling warmly. In the background, the backyard fence, colorful houses, and golden afternoon sunlight streaming through the oak tree leaves.

Then Ezra heard footsteps. Skip, skip, skip! His friend from school, Mom, and the lonely neighbor all came walking into the backyard. His friend held up something and said, "We found your book, Ezra! It was on the playground!" They had all worked together to find it.

Ezra sitting under the tall oak tree with his special book open in his lap, reading aloud to the classroom friend, Mom, and the lonely neighbor, who all sit around him on the grass, listening happily. In the background, the colorful town glowing in warm golden sunset light, with the tall oak tree's branches spreading wide overhead.

Ezra hugged his book and smiled the biggest smile. "Thank you!" he said. Then he sat under the tall oak tree and read his story to all of them. Ezra learned that when you share kindness with others, kindness always finds its way back to you—and makes the whole world a little brighter.
