Aisha stands in a bright, sunny meadow full of colorful wildflowers—red, yellow, and purple—with her arms spread wide and her mouth open as if singing joyfully. A sparkling blue river winds beside the meadow. In the background, puffy white clouds float in a bright blue sky above rolling green hills.

Aisha loved to sing. She made up songs about everything—birds, bugs, and big blue skies. One sunny morning, she skipped to the meadow beside the sparkling blue river. The wildflowers were red, yellow, and purple. The puffy white clouds floated overhead like cotton candy.

Aisha kneels at the edge of the sparkling blue river, looking with wide, delighted eyes at Drip, a tiny sparkling drop of water sitting on a bright green leaf near the riverbank. In the background, colorful wildflowers line the riverbank under a sunny sky.

Aisha knelt by the river and dipped her hand in the cool water. A tiny drop of water bounced up and landed on a leaf. The little drop had a bright, cheerful sparkle. "Hello!" said the drop. "My name is Drip! I am about to go on a big adventure!"

Aisha sits cross-legged in the meadow, leaning close to Drip on his leaf, pointing up toward the sky with one hand. Drip looks upward with a cheerful expression as warm golden sunlight shines down on them both. In the background, the sparkling blue river stretches into the distance under a warm, glowing sun.

"An adventure? Where are you going?" Aisha asked. "Up, up, up!" said Drip. "The warm sun will help me float up into the sky. That is called evaporation! The sun heats the water, and tiny drops like me turn into vapor and rise into the air." Aisha's eyes grew wide. "Can I follow you?"

Aisha stands in the meadow clapping her hands and singing with a big joyful smile. Drip floats just above the leaf, beginning to shimmer and rise slightly in the warm air. Small musical notes drift around Aisha. In the background, bright wildflowers sway gently and the sun glows warmly overhead.

"Make up a song for me!" said Drip. "Then you will always know where I am." Aisha clapped her hands and began to sing: "Drip, drip, drop! Water does not stop! Up to the clouds and down to the ground, water goes round and round!"

Aisha stands in the meadow waving up at the sky with one hand shading her eyes. Drip floats high above her, glowing and shimmering as he rises toward the puffy white clouds, trailing a faint sparkly mist behind him. In the background, tall puffy white clouds gather in a brilliant blue sky.

The sun grew warm and bright. Drip began to shimmer and shake. Slowly, he floated up, up, up into the air! He got lighter and lighter as he turned into water vapor. "Goodbye for now!" Drip called. "Look for me in the clouds!" Aisha waved and kept singing her song.

A large gray cloud fills the upper sky, with Drip visible inside it among many other tiny sparkling water droplets, all huddled together. Below, Aisha stands in the meadow looking up with her hands cupped around her mouth. In the background, the bright meadow stretches below with the sparkling blue river winding through it.

Drip floated higher and higher. When he reached the cool sky, he joined many other tiny drops of water. Together, they made a cloud! This is called condensation—when water vapor cools down and comes together to form clouds. The cloud grew bigger and bigger, and it turned dark gray.

Aisha stands alone in the meadow with her hands on her cheeks and a worried expression, looking up at a large, dark gray cloud that has covered the sun, casting a shadow over the wildflowers around her. In the background, the meadow looks dimmer and the river reflects the gray sky.

Aisha looked up, but she could not see Drip anymore. The big gray cloud was too thick and dark. "Oh no!" said Aisha. "Where did Drip go? I lost him!" She felt a little worried. The meadow grew dim as the cloud covered the sun.

Aisha stands boldly in the meadow with her chin lifted and her mouth wide open, singing toward the dark gray cloud above. Her arms are stretched out to her sides. Musical notes float upward from her into the sky. In the background, the gray cloud looms large but a faint glow of light peeks from its edge.

Then Aisha remembered what Drip had said. She took a deep breath and began to sing: "Drip, drip, drop! Water does not stop! Up to the clouds and down to the ground, water goes round and round!" She sang it loud and clear, and she did not give up.

Aisha stands in the meadow laughing with delight as rain falls all around her. Drip, a sparkling raindrop, sits right on the tip of Aisha's nose, smiling brightly. Raindrops splash on the colorful wildflowers nearby. In the background, gentle rain falls from the gray cloud over the meadow and river.

Pitter-patter! Pitter-patter! Rain began to fall from the big gray cloud. This is called precipitation—when clouds get so full of water that the drops fall back down as rain! A sparkling raindrop landed right on Aisha's nose. "You found me!" said Drip with a giggle.

Aisha runs alongside Drip as he trickles in a small sparkling stream through the grass and colorful wildflowers, heading toward the sparkling blue river. Drip glows brightly as he reaches the water's edge. In the background, the winding river flows through the green meadow under a clearing sky.

Drip slid off Aisha's nose and splashed onto the ground. He trickled over the grass and between the wildflowers. Then he rolled downhill and splashed right into the sparkling blue river! "This is called collection!" Drip called out. "The rain flows into rivers, lakes, and oceans. And then the adventure starts all over again!"

Aisha stands at the riverbank gazing up in wonder at a brilliant shimmering rainbow arcing across the sky. Drip bobs happily in the sparkling blue river beside her, looking up at the rainbow too. In the background, the sun glows through the last wisps of gray cloud, and the meadow is bright and glistening with rain.

The rain stopped, and the sun came back out. A shimmering rainbow arced across the sky in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Aisha gasped. "It is so beautiful!" she said. "That happens when sunlight shines through the raindrops," said Drip from the river. "See? Water makes wonderful things!"

Aisha sits peacefully in the sunny meadow among the colorful wildflowers, her eyes closed and a big smile on her face as she sings. The sparkling blue river flows beside her, and Drip sparkles on the water's surface, waving up at her. In the background, the shimmering rainbow fades gently in the blue sky above puffy white clouds.

Aisha sat in the warm meadow and sang her song one more time: "Drip, drip, drop! Water does not stop! Up to the clouds and down to the ground, water goes round and round!" She smiled at the river. She knew that Drip would always come back. Water always goes round and round again.
