Liam loved to run fast and laugh loud. He would zoom around the playroom like a race car. "Vroom, vroom, vroom!" he said with a big, goofy grin.
But today, Liam had a big idea. He looked at all the colorful blocks on the soft blue rug. "I want to build the tallest tower EVER!" he said. His eyes grew wide with excitement.
Liam grabbed a red block and a blue block. He stacked them up fast. Stack, stack, stack! He went as quick as he could. "Higher! Higher!" he cheered.
The tower wobbled. It wiggled. It jiggled. Then—BOOM! The blocks came crashing down all over the rug! Liam sat and blinked. The tower was gone!
But Liam did not cry. He giggled! "Ha ha ha!" he laughed. "That was so loud! I can try again!" He clapped his hands and picked up the blocks.
This time, Liam tried a new idea. He put a big yellow block at the bottom. "A big block goes first!" he said. Then he stacked more blocks on top. Stack, stack, stack!
The tower grew taller. It reached Liam's knees! But then it wobbled and wiggled and—BOOM! Down it crashed again! Blocks flew everywhere!
Liam giggled again. "Wow, that was even louder!" he said. He scratched his head and thought. "Maybe I need to go slow. Slow and steady." He took a deep breath.
Liam picked up a big green block and set it down very carefully. Then he placed a red block on top, nice and slow. "Easy does it," he whispered. He was gentle and patient.
Block by block, the tower grew taller. It passed his knees. It passed his tummy. Liam went slow and steady. He did not rush. "Keep going, keep going," he whispered.
Liam placed the very last block on the tippy top. The tower reached all the way up to his nose! It did not wobble. It did not wiggle. It stood tall and strong! "I DID IT!" Liam cheered.
Liam was so proud that he did a silly happy dance. He wiggled his arms. He stomped his feet. He spun around and around! "I did not give up!" he said with a laugh. And that made him prouder than the tallest tower in the world.
