Amara loved to ask big questions. "What do fish do all day?" she asked. "Where do sea turtles sleep?" She sat on the warm, sandy beach and looked out at the bright blue ocean. The waves splashed and sparkled in the morning sun.
Then Amara saw something shiny in the sand. She picked it up. It was a pair of magical goggles! They were bright blue with golden swirls that glowed in the sunlight. "Wow!" said Amara. "I wonder what these can do!"
Amara put the magical goggles on and jumped into the water. Splash! Something amazing happened. She could breathe underwater! "This is wonderful!" she said, as tiny bubbles floated up around her. The ocean was full of color and light.
Amara swam deeper and deeper. She found a coral reef full of pink, orange, and purple coral. It swayed gently in the warm water. Schools of rainbow fish darted between the coral. Swish, swish, swish! They moved together like a team.
"Why do you swim together?" Amara asked the rainbow fish. The fish swished their tails. "We stay in a group to keep each other safe," they said. "We are a team!" Amara smiled. Friends help each other—even under the sea!
Then Amara heard a tiny voice. "Hello? Can anyone help me?" She looked behind a big purple coral. There was a shy little clownfish. He was orange with white stripes, and he looked sad. "My name is Cleo," he said. "I am lost. I cannot find my coral home."
"Do not worry, Cleo," said Amara. "I will help you find your home! What does it look like?" Cleo thought hard. "It is a special kind of coral called an anemone. It has soft, wavy arms. Clownfish like me live inside anemones because they keep us safe."
Amara and Cleo swam together to look for his anemone home. On the way, they met two friendly sea turtles gliding slowly through the water. "Hello!" said Amara. "Have you seen an anemone nearby?" The sea turtles nodded their big, gentle heads. "Follow us!" they said.
The sea turtles led them along a magical trail of glowing jellyfish. The jellyfish floated softly, lighting the way with pink and blue light. "How pretty!" said Amara. "Why do you glow?" "We glow to find our friends in the deep, dark water," the jellyfish said, dancing and swirling.
At last, they found it! A beautiful anemone with soft, wavy pink arms swayed gently on the reef. "That is my home!" Cleo cried. He zipped right inside and wiggled happily. "Thank you, Amara! Thank you, friends!" The anemone's arms hugged Cleo safe and snug.
Amara waved goodbye to Cleo and all her new ocean friends. "I learned so much today!" she said. "Fish swim in teams. Clownfish live in anemones. Jellyfish glow to find their friends. Every creature has an important part to play!"
Amara climbed back onto the warm, sandy beach. She held the magical goggles close. "In the ocean—just like on land—friends help each other," she said with a big smile. And she knew that whenever she had a big question, a wonderful adventure was waiting.
