Ezra sits cross-legged beneath a large, leafy reading tree, holding an open book in his lap, with dappled golden sunlight filtering through the green leaves above him. In the background, a sunny meadow with soft green grass and a cheerful blue sky with puffy white clouds.

Ezra sat under his big, shady tree. He loved this tree. He loved his books. He loved the warm sun on his nose. It was a very good day.

Ezra stands up beneath the reading tree, one hand cupped behind his ear, eyes wide with curiosity, his open book resting on the grass beside him. In the background, the same sunny meadow with soft light and gentle swaying wildflowers.

Then Ezra heard something funny. "A-a-a!" What was that? Ezra looked up. He looked down. He looked all around. "A-a-a!" There it was again!

Ezra walks along a sunny stone path toward his warm, cozy home — a cheerful cottage with a red door and flower boxes in the windows. In the background, the reading tree stands in the meadow behind Ezra, and the cottage glows warmly in the sunshine.

"Where is that sound?" said Ezra. He followed it down the path. Step, step, step. The sound got louder. "A-a-a!" It was coming from inside his warm, cozy home!

Ezra stands in the bright kitchen, leaning forward with both hands on the edge of the wooden table, watching a shiny red apple roll across the tabletop. In the background, a sunny kitchen window with yellow curtains and warm light streaming in.

Ezra walked into the bright kitchen. He saw the big wooden table. And on the table — oh! A shiny red apple was rolling! Roll, roll, roll. Bump! "A-a-a!" said the apple.

Ezra holds the shiny red apple up close to his face, grinning ear to ear, as the apple has a tiny, playful smile on its skin. In the background, the bright kitchen with the wooden table and sunny window.

Ezra giggled. "Apple starts with 'a'!" he said. "A-a-apple!" The apple wiggled. Did the apple just smile? Ezra laughed and laughed.

Ezra runs barefoot through the back door of his cozy home and onto the sunny backyard path, arms outstretched with excitement, grass beneath his feet. In the background, a green backyard with a garden fence and bright flowers along the edges.

Then Ezra heard it again. "A-a-a!" It was coming from outside! He ran to the sunny backyard. The grass was soft and tickly on his toes.

Ezra crouches down low on the sunny backyard path, peering at a tiny ant marching in a wiggly line along the ground near his bare feet. In the background, the sunny garden with small daisies and warm golden light.

Ezra looked down. A tiny ant was marching by his feet! It walked in a wiggly line. Left, right, left, right. "A-a-a!" said the little ant.

Ezra sits on the sunny backyard path, waving his hand down at the tiny ant, who lifts one small leg as if waving back, both looking happy. In the background, the backyard garden with green grass and colorful flowers in the warm sunshine.

"Ant starts with 'a' too!" said Ezra. "A-a-ant!" The tiny ant waved one little leg. Can you wave back? Ezra did! He waved and waved.

Ezra peeks around the bathroom doorway, eyes wide with delight, looking at the bubbly, splashy bathtub overflowing with giggly bubbles. In the background, a cozy bathroom with blue tile walls and a small window letting in soft light.

"A-a-a!" Oh no — the sound again! This time it came from inside the house. Ezra ran back in. Splish, splash! It came from the bubbly bathtub!

Ezra leans over the edge of the bubbly bathtub, reaching for his green toy alligator that floats among shiny, round bubbles, water splashing gently. In the background, the cozy bathroom with blue tiles and fluffy white towels hanging on a rack.

In the tub was his green toy alligator! It bobbed in the bubbles. Splash, splash, splash! "A-a-a!" said the toy alligator. The bubbles giggled. Pop, pop, pop!

Ezra stands in the bathroom holding up three fingers, counting proudly, with the shiny red apple on the counter, the tiny ant near his foot, and the green toy alligator peeking from the tub behind him. In the background, the cozy bathroom with soft light and bubbly bathtub.

"Alligator starts with 'a'!" said Ezra. "A-a-alligator!" He counted on his fingers. Apple. Ant. Alligator. Three 'a' words! The short 'a' sound was hiding everywhere!

Ezra sits snuggled against the trunk of the reading tree, hugging his open book to his chest, eyes closed with a big proud smile, bathed in warm golden sunlight. In the background, the peaceful meadow glowing in soft sunset light with fireflies beginning to twinkle.

Ezra snuggled back under his big, shady tree. He held his favorite book close. He smiled a big, proud smile. "A is for a-a-amazing!" he shouted. And it was. Letters and sounds are everywhere — just waiting for YOU to find them!
