One sunny morning, Amara heard a funny sound. B-b-bounce! B-b-bounce! "What is that?" asked Amara. Something round and blue was bouncing on the hill.
It was a letter! A big, bouncy letter B! It giggled. It wiggled. It bounced up and down. "B-b-b!" it said. "Come play with me!" Amara laughed and followed it down the hill.
The bouncy letter B stopped by something shiny. Bubbles! Big, beautiful bubbles floated everywhere. They shimmered pink and purple and blue. Amara reached out and touched one — POP!
POP! POP! POP! Every bubble popped with sparkly light. "Bubbles start with B!" said the bouncy letter B. Amara clapped her hands. "B-b-bubbles!" she said.
The bouncy letter B bounced on. Boing! Boing! It led Amara to a cozy little barn. And who was sitting by the barn? A big, fluffy bear!
"Hello!" said the big, fluffy bear. "I am a b-b-bear!" The bear was soft and round and brown. Amara gave the bear a hug. So warm! So fuzzy! "B-b-bear!" said Amara. "B starts bear!"
The bouncy letter B giggled again. "More B! More B!" Up, up, up floated bright balloons! Red balloons. Blue balloons. Yellow balloons. So many balloons filled the sky!
"Balloons start with B!" cheered the bouncy letter B. Amara tried the sound again. "B-b-balloons!" She bounced up and down. B-b-bounce! B-b-bounce! Can you say it too? B-b-b!
But then — WHOOOOSH! A big gust of wind blew through the hills. It carried all the balloons away! "Oh no!" cried Amara. "Come back, balloons!"
Amara felt sad. But then she felt brave. Brave starts with B too! "I can do it," said Amara. She took a big, deep breath.
"B-B-BLOOOW!" Amara blew with all her might! The wind turned around. The balloons came back! They bounced and bobbed and floated down, down, down. The big friendly bear caught one. POP went a bubble. Everyone cheered!
Amara smiled the biggest smile. "B is for bubbles, bears, balloons, and brave!" The bouncy letter B gave one last giggle. "B-b-beautiful!" they all said together. What a b-b-beautiful day!
