Hana loved to dance! She twirled and swayed in her warm, sunny kitchen. The floor was cool on her bare feet. The sun made everything glow.
A playful breeze blew in through the big open window. And look! Something was floating in the air! It drifted and dipped, soft as a feather.
It was a letter! The letter F! It was silly and wiggly. It spun around Hana's head. "Follow me!" it seemed to say. "Come play outside!"
Hana followed the fluttery F out the door and into the garden. Oh! So many flowers! Red ones, pink ones, purple ones, yellow ones. They swayed in the breeze. F-f-f-f! Can you hear them?
The flowers swayed back and forth. They made a soft, breezy sound. "F-f-f-f!" said the flowers. Hana blew air softly between her lips. "F-f-f-f!" she said. Can you try? Blow soft air. F-f-f-f!
The silly F giggled and floated on! Hana followed it to a small, splashy pond. Something was jumping in the water. Splash! Splash! What could it be?
Frogs! Little green frogs sat on the lily pads. They puffed out their cheeks and leaped high. "F-f-f-f!" said the frogs. Hana puffed her cheeks too. "F-f-f-f!" she said. The frogs clapped their tiny feet!
The F danced away again! Hana skipped after it to a babbling brook. The water gurgled and sparkled. Shiny fish jumped up from the water. Splish! Splash!
The fish blew tiny bubbles as they splashed. "F-f-f-f!" said the fish. Hana leaned close and blew air softly. "F-f-f-f!" The letter F spun around and around with joy!
But then — whoooosh! A big gust of wind came along. It picked up the letter F and carried it high, high, high into the sky! "Oh no!" said Hana. "Come back, F!"
Hana took a deep breath. She blew the biggest, softest "F-f-f-f" she could. She blew and blew. And guess what? The letter F floated gently down, down, down — right into her hands! "I got you!" Hana cheered.
Hana danced the letter F all the way home. She hung it right on the fridge with a big magnet. "You are my fantastic new friend," she said. And the letter F wiggled, just a little, as if to say — "F-f-f-f! Friends forever!"
