Liam loved to run. He loved to laugh. But most of all, Liam loved to ask questions! "I have a game!" said Liam. "It is called The Question Game!"
Liam zoomed across the grass. He saw something funny. A big red hat sat on the ground. But wait — the hat was wiggling! "Who is under that big red hat?" asked Liam.
Liam lifted the hat. POP! A little green frog jumped out! "Ribbit! Ribbit!" said the frog. Liam tickled the frog's belly. The frog kicked its legs and wiggled! "A ticklish frog!" Liam laughed loud. "Ha ha ha!"
Liam ran to the flower garden. He heard something. Bzzzzzz. Hmmmmmm. Bzzzzz. It was a funny sound! A silly sound! "What is making that funny sound?" asked Liam.
Liam looked closer. It was a big yellow sunflower! The sunflower was humming a song! Its leaves swayed back and forth like little arms. "A humming sunflower!" said Liam. "Sing it again!" Hmmmmmm! Hmmmmmm! Liam danced and wiggled along.
Liam flopped onto the soft, warm grass. He looked up at the sky. The sky was so big. The sky was so blue. "Why is the sky so blue?" asked Liam.
A fluffy white cloud floated down close. "Tee hee hee!" giggled the cloud. "I know! I know!" "The tiny bits of light bounce around up here — and the blue bits bounce the MOST! That is why the sky looks blue!" "Whoa!" said Liam. "The sky is blue because blue light bounces the most?" "Tee hee! Yes!" giggled the cloud.
Liam jumped up and ran some more. He peeked under a bush. "Who is hiding here?" A fuzzy caterpillar! He sniffed a pink rose. "Why do you smell so sweet?" The rose smelled like warm honey! So many questions. So many answers!
But then… Liam stopped running. He stopped laughing. He could not think of any more questions. "Oh no," said Liam. He sat down on the grass. "The Question Game is over." Liam felt a little lost.
The Ticklish Frog hopped over. Ribbit! The Humming Sunflower swayed. Hmmmmmm! The Giggling Cloud floated close. Tee hee! They were all waiting. But waiting for what?
Liam's eyes got big. His goofy smile came back. "Wait!" said Liam. "I DO have one more question!" He jumped up and laughed loud. "What will I ask NEXT?" And that was the best question of all!
Because the world is always full of wonderful things to wonder about. Every bush might hide a surprise. Every cloud might whisper a secret. And The Question Game? It never, ever has to end. What will YOU ask next?
