Mei sat on her soft, blue rug. She had her sketchbook open wide. She drew a big letter T. "T is for fun!" said Mei.
Then something funny happened! The letter T began to wiggle. It jiggled. It bounced right off the page! "Hello, Mei!" said the big, bouncy letter T. "Come on a trip with me!"
Mei took the letter T's hand. WHOOOOSH! They flew through the sky. Below them was a magical, colorful land. "Look at all the T things!" said Mei.
First, they found turtles! Big, gentle, green turtles sat on soft, sandy hills. The turtles tapped their shells. Tap, tap, tap! "T-t-t!" said Mei. "Turtle starts with T!"
Mei opened her sketchbook. She drew the turtles, one by one. Tap, tap, tap went her pencil. "T-t-t!" said the letter T. "You are a good drawer, Mei!"
Next, they found tigers! Bright orange tigers tumbled in the tall, green grass. They rolled and rolled. "T-t-t!" said Mei. "Tiger starts with T, too!"
Mei drew the tumbling tigers in her sketchbook. The tigers purred. It sounded warm and rumbly. "Can you say t-t-t?" asked Mei. The tigers tried. "T-t-t!" they purred.
Then they heard a sound. TOOT! TOOT! A cheerful little train chugged along rainbow tracks. "T-t-t!" tooted the train. "Train starts with T!" cheered Mei.
Mei and the letter T rode the train. Clickety-clack, clickety-clack! Mei drew the train in her sketchbook. "T-t-t!" they all said together. What a fun trip!
But oh no! It was time to go home. Mei looked around. The path was gone! "How do we get home?" asked Mei. The letter T looked worried, too.
Then Mei had an idea! She opened her sketchbook. She drew a trail of big letter T's, one after another. The letter T touched each one. POP! POP! POP! They lit up bright and golden, making a glowing path all the way home!
Mei followed the glowing T's all the way home. She hugged the letter T tight. "Thank you for the best trip!" said Mei. "T-t-t!" said the letter T with a happy bounce. And Mei smiled, because T would always be her favorite letter.
