Amara loved the beach. She loved the warm sand. She loved the soft waves. But most of all, Amara loved to ask big questions. "What is hiding today?" she asked the sea.
Amara picked up a big pink seashell. She peeked inside. "Oh!" she said. "What is this?" It was a crinkly, golden treasure map! It sparkled in the sun.
The map showed a winding path of golden sand. Little numbers dotted the way — 1, 2, 3, and more! "A counting adventure!" said Amara. "Will you count with me?" She took her first step down the path.
At the first stop, something shiny sat on a rock. It was 1 golden key! Amara picked it up. Clink! "One golden key!" she counted. "What comes next?"
A little farther down the path, Amara found 2 shining shells. They hummed a tiny song. Hmmmm! Hmmmm! "One, two shining shells!" she counted. Can you count them too?
Splash! Splash! Splash! At the bubbling creek, 3 little fish jumped out of the water! Up, up, up they went! "One, two, three jumping fish!" Amara giggled.
Next came 4 smooth, colorful rocks in a row — red, blue, yellow, green! Then 5 tiny crabs that went click-click-click across the sand. "Four rocks! Five crabs!" Amara counted. "This is so much fun!"
Amara found 6 bright butterflies dancing in the air. Flutter, flutter, flutter! Then she spotted 7 round bubbles floating on the path. But oh no! The bubbles hid the way! "Where did the path go?" Amara asked.
Amara was not afraid. She knew just what to do! "Let me count them!" she said. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven!" Pop, pop, pop! Each bubble popped as she counted! The path came back!
Amara skipped ahead and found 8 pretty flowers — pink and purple! Then 9 smooth pebbles by the cave door, round and warm from the sun. "Eight flowers! Nine pebbles!" she counted. "I am almost there!"
Amara stepped inside the glittering cave. And there they were! 10 sparkling treasures twinkled like tiny stars — warm and bright! "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, TEN!" she counted. Amara hugged them close. "I found them all!"
Amara walked back to the beach, her heart full and happy. She looked all around — at the waves, the rocks, the sky. "Counting is magic," she whispered. "And magic is everywhere!" All you have to do is look… and count along the way.
