Come sit by the fire! The quilts are warm and soft. Mother Goose has a big book of rhymes. "Are you ready?" they ask. "Let us begin!"
Mother Goose turns a page. "Here is a story about a girl and her sheep," they say. "Her name is Little Bo Peep!" Little Bo Peep smiles and waves.
Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep! Oh no! Where did they go? She looks left. She looks right. She does not see them anywhere.
"Do not worry," says Mother Goose. "When you lose something, stop and think. Where did you see them last?" Little Bo Peep closes her eyes and thinks very hard.
"I know!" says Little Bo Peep. "They were by the big hill!" She walks to the big hill. And there they are! Her fluffy sheep are eating grass. Munch, munch, munch!
"You found them!" says Mother Goose. "Sometimes, if you wait and stay calm, things come back to you." Little Bo Peep hugs a fluffy sheep. It says, "Baa!"
Mother Goose turns another page. "Now," they say, "let me tell you about a cow. Not just any cow. A cow who wanted to jump very, VERY high!"
Hey diddle diddle! A cat plays a fiddle! The little dog laughs. What a silly sound! And the cow looks up at the big, bright moon.
The cow bends her legs. She jumps! Up, up, UP she goes! Over the moon! Can you believe it? The moon is so surprised, it giggles!
The dish runs away with the spoon! Clang, clang, clang! They run through the starlit field. "Wait for us!" they call. What a funny night!
Mother Goose closes the big book. Little Bo Peep yawns. The sheep yawn too. Baa. "Every rhyme has a little surprise," Mother Goose says softly. "Just like every day."
The fire is warm. The quilts are cozy. Outside, the stars are bright. Somewhere, a cow is still flying. And tomorrow, there will be more rhymes to find.
