Sofiya's Big Surprise!

A story about

for your 3rd Grader.

Sofiya with her blonde hair and fancy dress looking up at her mother. In the background, the interior of a cozy family living room.

There was a little girl named Sofiya. She was very funny, goofy, and talented. With blonde hair and eyes- always dressed so fancy. On her way to the family livingroom, she stopped to ask her mother once again, "Why dont i have any brothers and sisters?"

A single door slightly ajar, symbolizing Sofiya's escape after her outburst. In the background, the hallway of a home.

This was normal in their household. Sofiya was an only child and no matter how often her Mommy played with her, did each other's make-up and hair, she still felt lonely without a forever buddy. "I'm sorry, Sofiya. It doesn't just happen that way. Her blood began to boil. "YOU COULD ADOPT A BABY BROTHER OR SISTER!" Took a deep breath, and continued, "BUT YOU JUST WANT ME TO BE ALONE ALL THE TIME AND NOT HAVE A BROTHER OR SISTER AND BE BORED ALL THE TIME!" "WHY WOULD YOU HAVE ONLY ONE KID?" She quickly returned to her bedroom with tears in her eyes and slammed her door shut.

Sofiya's mom, with a knowing smile

No one knew except her mother that she was keeping a deep secret until the perfect time to bring it up. So, she just smiled to herself and shook her head because in that moment she knew for sure that she indeed was able to give Sofiya exactly what she had wanted to make her feel better. Soon.

An old photo album turned to a page of past family photos. In the background, a desk with scattered papers and pens.

Sofiya's mom sat down and took out an old photo album from a hidden drawer. She flipped through the pages, revealing pictures of her own childhood, and thought about how she would soon surprise Sofiya with something even better than a sibling.

Sofiya sitting in a corner with her toys, still upset. In the background, a colorful playroom with toys and stuffed animals.

A day or two passed, Sofiya still throwing fits, and choosing to play all by herself. She didn't understand why her mom could do this to her and not think about how lonely she would be.

A large, beautifully wrapped box with a big bow on top. In the background, the living room filled with sunlight.

That afternoon after school, Sofiya returned home to find a large box in the living room, wrapped in colorful paper and tied with a big bow. Feeling curious and excited, she rushed over to open the box, with her mom smiling slyly nearby. "I think you'll love this," her mom said.

Sofiya's mom gesturing towards the box with a gentle smile. In the background, the living room's comfortable furniture.

"Lets open it together." Mom said. "Ready?" Sofiya said with excitement. They simultaneously started their countdown. "3..2..1.."

A magical key inside its smaller box on a table. In the background, a tidy corridor leading to the attic.

Inside the box, there was an envelope taped to a smaller box which contained a key. Her mom handed her the smaller box and said, "This is a magical key to unlock endless adventures. Let's take this key and go to the attic. There's a secret surprise waiting for you!"
