Tabby Has A Visitor

A story about
for your 3rd Grader.

Tabby was a tiny, fluffy kitten with the most brilliant orange and white fur you ever saw. She lived with a lady that called herself Grandma. Tabby loved to take naps, and most of all, she loved to listen to Grandma read stories.

One day, they had a visitor. A noisy little boy, that Grandma called, Trevor. Trevor loved Grandma, but most of all, he loved chasing Tabby the cat.

Tabby decided it was time for a game, so she darted under the couch where Trevor couldn't reach her, peeking out just enough so Trevor could see her bright eyes.

Suddenly, Trevor's eyes sparkled with an idea. He picked up a small toy mouse from the floor and wiggled it near the couch, hoping to tempt Tabby out with her curiosity.

Tabby watched the wiggling mouse curiously but remained under the couch, planning her next move. Trevor grew more determined and began to make funny noises to catch her attention.

Noticing Grandma had quietly started a new story, Tabby decided to ignore Trevor and focus on Grandma’s voice, hoping he’d join her to listen too. But Trevor was persistent, and continued to try and lure Tabby out.

Trevor had another idea. He grabbed a crayon and a piece of paper, offering to draw a picture of Tabby, complete with her fluffy fur and bright eyes. As he drew, Tabby crept out from under the couch, curious to see what he was doing.

Just as Trevor was finishing the picture, Grandma called for both of them to come over and listen to the story. Tabby and Trevor sat side by side, completely engrossed in Grandma's magical tale.
