Zippy Zapata, a curious boy wizard in a starry blue robe and a pointy hat, sits cross-legged in a meadow of colorful wildflowers, gazing out toward a sparkling blue lake in the valley below. In the background, a bright sunny sky with puffy white clouds drifting low over soft green hills.

Zippy Zapata loved puzzles more than anything in the world. He loved riddles. He loved mysteries. And he loved finding answers to big questions. Today, he sat on a hilltop meadow full of wildflowers, looking out at the sparkling blue lake far below.

Ember Flare, a small whimsical dragon with shimmery orange-and-gold scales, tiny wings, and bright green eyes, stretches her wings wide and yawns in the colorful wildflower meadow. In the background, soft green grass and a sparkling blue lake shimmering in the valley below.

"What a perfect day for an adventure!" said Zippy. His best friend, Ember Flare, stretched her wings and yawned. Ember was a small, whimsical dragon who loved adventure just as much as Zippy loved puzzles. Together, they made a great team.

Zippy Zapata, a curious boy wizard in a starry blue robe and a pointy hat, rolls joyfully down a soft green grassy hill with arms spread wide, surrounded by colorful wildflowers and butterflies. In the background, puffy white clouds drifting very low over the hilltop meadow.

They ran through the meadow. They chased butterflies. They rolled down the soft green hill and laughed and laughed. The warm sun felt good on their faces. The puffy white clouds drifted so low, they looked close enough to touch.

Ember Flare, a small whimsical dragon with shimmery orange-and-gold scales, tiny wings, and bright green eyes, looks up with surprise as big raindrops splash on her snout in the colorful wildflower meadow. In the background, dark gray clouds filling the sky above the hilltop.

Then something changed. The puffy white clouds grew dark and gray. The sky turned dim. Drop, drop, drop. Rain began to fall! "Oh no!" said Ember. "Our adventure is getting wet!" Big, cool raindrops splashed on the wildflowers all around them.

Zippy Zapata, a curious boy wizard in a starry blue robe and a pointy hat, pulls his hat down snugly and looks up at the sky with wide, curious eyes while rain falls around him. In the background, dark gray clouds with rain streaming down over the meadow.

Zippy pulled his pointy hat down tight. He looked up at the gray clouds. "Wait, Ember," he said. "This is not a problem. This is a puzzle! Where does all this rain come from?" Ember tilted her head. "I don't know," she said. "Let's find out!"

A sparkling blue lake in a green valley, its surface glittering with sunlight, with gentle ripples catching golden reflections from the warm sun above. In the background, soft green hills rising on either side with colorful wildflowers dotting the slopes.

The rain stopped as quickly as it started. The sun came back out, warm and bright. Zippy looked down at the sparkling blue lake in the valley. "Let's start there," he said. "When I am curious about something, I slow down and observe carefully." So they walked down the hill to the lake.

Zippy Zapata, a curious boy wizard in a starry blue robe and a pointy hat, kneels at the edge of the sparkling blue lake, pointing at delicate wisps of mist rising from the glittering water surface. In the background, the warm golden sun shining brightly over the green valley hills.

At the lake, the sun felt very warm. Zippy knelt by the water and watched. Tiny wisps of mist floated up from the surface. "Look, Ember!" he said. "The sun is warming the water. When the sun heats water, it turns into vapor — like tiny, invisible drops that rise up into the air!"

Ember Flare, a small whimsical dragon with shimmery orange-and-gold scales, tiny wings, and bright green eyes, blows a gentle puff of warm breath over the sparkling blue lake as delicate wisps of mist curl upward from the surface. In the background, puffy white clouds forming high above the green valley.

Ember blew a tiny puff of warm air over the water. More mist floated up! "So the water goes up into the sky?" she asked. "Yes!" said Zippy. "The vapor rises higher and higher. When it gets up high, the air is very cold. The cold air turns the vapor back into tiny water drops. And those tiny drops stick together to make clouds!"

Two figures — a small boy in a starry blue robe and pointy hat and a small orange-and-gold dragon — lie side by side in the soft green grass of the hilltop meadow, gazing up at the sky. In the background, big puffy white clouds drifting low across a bright blue sky.

They walked back up the hill and lay in the soft green grass. They watched the puffy white clouds drift by. "So clouds are made of water?" asked Ember. "They are!" said Zippy. "Millions and millions of tiny water drops, all floating together. When the drops get big and heavy enough, they fall back down as rain!"

A colorful, whimsical diagram made of swirling arrows in the sky: golden sun rays warming a sparkling blue lake, wispy vapor rising up, forming into puffy white clouds, and blue raindrops falling back down to the lake. In the background, a hilltop meadow with colorful wildflowers under a bright sky.

Ember's eyes went wide. "So the rain that fell on us came from the lake?" Zippy grinned. "Maybe! And after the rain falls, it flows back into lakes and rivers. Then the sun warms it again, and it rises back up. It goes around and around. Rain is nature's way of recycling water!"

Zippy Zapata, a curious boy wizard in a starry blue robe and a pointy hat, stands proudly in the colorful wildflower meadow with one hand raised as if sharing a great discovery, a warm smile on his face. In the background, the sparkling blue lake in the valley below and puffy white clouds in a bright sky.

"That is amazing," said Ember. "We solved the puzzle just by watching and asking questions!" Zippy nodded. "That is the secret," he said. "When you are curious, slow down. Look closely. Ask questions. The world is full of answers if you pay attention."

Ember Flare, a small whimsical dragon with shimmery orange-and-gold scales, tiny wings, and bright green eyes, stands at the edge of the hilltop meadow with her wings spread open, looking out over the vast valley and sparkling blue lake below. In the background, new puffy white clouds drifting in over distant green hills beneath a golden sunset sky.

A cool breeze blew across the meadow. New clouds were already drifting in over the valley. Ember spread her tiny wings and smiled. "I wonder what other puzzles are out there," she said softly. Zippy looked out at the wide, beautiful world and whispered, "I bet there are more than we can count."
