Zippy Zapata, a small curious boy wizard in a tall pointy purple hat and a blue star-covered cape, stands smiling on a cobblestone path near little stone cottages with colorful round doors. In the background, a sparkling blue lake glows with tiny rainbow ripples under a bright sunny sky.

Zippy Zapata lived in a cozy village by a sparkling blue lake. He had a tall pointy hat and a little magic wand. Every morning, the air smelled like warm bread. Yum!

Nessie Sparkles, a large friendly shimmering teal Loch Ness Monster with big kind purple eyes, a long curving neck, and sparkling iridescent scales, pokes her head and neck up out of the sparkling blue lake near a wobbly wooden dock. In the background, little stone cottages with colorful round doors line the lakeshore.

Zippy's best friend lived in the lake. Her name was Nessie Sparkles. She was big and shimmery and loved to explore. "Good morning, Zippy!" she called. Splish, splash!

Zippy Zapata, a small curious boy wizard in a tall pointy purple hat and a blue star-covered cape, walks happily down a cobblestone path, waving his little magic wand with excitement. In the background, a friendly bakery with a warm golden glow in its windows and a swirly sign sits at the end of the path.

"Nessie! Let's go to the bakery!" said Zippy. "I want a yummy treat!" Nessie wiggled with joy. "Oh, yes! I love the bakery!" Off they went, down the cobblestone path.

A long line of friendly village animals and people stretches out the door of a friendly bakery with a warm golden glow in its windows and a swirly sign, beside trays of golden bread and sparkly cookies visible through the window. In the background, little stone cottages with colorful round doors sit along the cobblestone path.

They got to the bakery. The warm bread smell floated out the door. Mmm! But wait — there was a long, long line! So many friends were waiting for treats too.

Zippy Zapata, a small curious boy wizard in a tall pointy purple hat and a blue star-covered cape, frowns impatiently and takes a big step forward past the long line of waiting friends. In the background, the friendly bakery with a warm golden glow in its windows and a swirly sign.

"Oh no!" said Zippy. "The line is so long! I don't want to wait!" He started to walk to the front. "I'll just go first," he said. His feet went step, step, step.

Nessie Sparkles, a large friendly shimmering teal Loch Ness Monster with big kind purple eyes, a long curving neck, and sparkling iridescent scales, leans her head down gently toward the cobblestone path with a warm, caring expression. In the background, the long line of friends waits patiently outside the friendly bakery.

"Wait, Zippy!" said Nessie softly. "Everyone here is waiting for a treat, just like us. How would you feel if someone pushed in front of you?" Zippy stopped. He thought about it.

Zippy Zapata, a small curious boy wizard in a tall pointy purple hat and a blue star-covered cape, looks up thoughtfully, holding his little magic wand to his chin, with a gentle understanding expression on his face. In the background, the sparkling blue lake glows with tiny rainbow ripples.

"I would feel sad," said Zippy quietly. "That's right," said Nessie. "When we wait our turn, we show respect. It means we care about everyone's feelings. And we can have fun while we wait!"

Zippy Zapata, a small curious boy wizard in a tall pointy purple hat and a blue star-covered cape, waves kindly to a round fluffy orange cat with long curly whiskers who stands in the line. In the background, more friends wait happily in the long line on the cobblestone path.

So Zippy went back to the end of the line. "Hello!" he said to a fluffy cat. "I like your whiskers!" The fluffy cat purred. "Thank you! I like your hat!" Waiting was not so bad!

A tiny bright red ladybug with shiny black spots sits on a round stone post beside the bakery line, smiling up with tiny happy eyes. In the background, the friendly bakery with a warm golden glow in its windows and a swirly sign.

"Hello!" Zippy said to a tiny ladybug. "What a pretty red coat!" The ladybug giggled. "Thank you! You are so kind!" Zippy smiled big. Being polite felt warm and good inside.

A golden tray of freshly baked treats — round sparkly cookies with rainbow sprinkles and warm golden bread rolls — sits on the bakery counter, dusted with sugar that glows softly. In the background, the warm inside of the friendly bakery with shelves of colorful jars and bread loaves.

Step by step, the line got shorter. Zippy waited and waited. He said "please" and "excuse me" and "after you." Each kind word made someone smile. Can you say "please" too?

Zippy Zapata, a small curious boy wizard in a tall pointy purple hat and a blue star-covered cape, reaches up happily to receive a big sparkly cookie with rainbow sprinkles from the hands of a kind baker across the bakery counter. In the background, the warm inside of the friendly bakery with shelves of colorful jars and bread loaves.

At last, it was Zippy's turn! "May I please have a treat?" he asked. The baker grinned. "You waited so nicely! Here is a treat for you — and a special sparkly cookie for being so polite!" Zippy's eyes went wide. "Thank you!"

Nessie Sparkles, a large friendly shimmering teal Loch Ness Monster with big kind purple eyes, a long curving neck, and sparkling iridescent scales, rests her head happily on the wobbly wooden dock beside a half-eaten sparkly cookie with rainbow sprinkles. In the background, the sparkling blue lake glows with tiny rainbow ripples as the golden sun begins to set.

Zippy and Nessie sat on the wobbly wooden dock. They nibbled their treats and watched the rainbow ripples dance on the water. "Nessie," said Zippy, "tomorrow I want to say even more kind words." Nessie smiled. "I can't wait to hear them all."
