It is spring! The sun is warm. The grass is soft and green. Pink flowers, yellow flowers, and purple flowers bloom everywhere. What a pretty day!
This is Bolda the Bright. She is brave and kind. And this is her little friend, Ember Flare! Ember is a small dragon with tiny wings. Together, they love to explore!
Look! Little footprints in the grass! Hop, hop, hop! Who has been here? "The Easter Bunny!" says Bolda. The Easter Bunny has hidden colorful eggs all across the meadow!
Bolda looks down low. She peeks behind a pink flower. "I found one!" It is a bright blue egg! Into the basket it goes. Can you find eggs too?
Ember looks up high! He peeks under a big green leaf. "Squeak!" says Ember. It is a sunny yellow egg! Into the basket it goes. Good job, Ember!
They look and look! A pink egg by the stream. Splash! A red egg under a soft leaf. Rustle! A purple egg near a little hill. How many eggs is that? So many colors!
Oh no! One more egg — a shiny gold egg — is stuck way up high in a tall tree! Bolda cannot reach it. She jumps and jumps. Too high! What can they do?
"Ember, can you help me, please?" asks Bolda in her kindest voice. When something is hard, it is good to ask a friend for help. And it is always nice to say please!
Flutter, flutter! Ember flaps his tiny orange wings. Up, up, up he flies! He picks up the shiny gold egg very gently. Down, down, down he comes. They did it — together! Hooray!
Look who is here! Baby animals have come to the meadow! A fluffy lamb, a tiny bunny, and a little chick — peep, peep! "Let's share our eggs," says Bolda. Sharing makes everyone happy!
The baby animals are so happy! The lamb nuzzles the pink egg. The bunny sniffs the purple egg. The chick sits on the sunny yellow egg. Peep! Everyone has a treasure to love.
The sky turns warm pink and gold. Bolda holds the shiny gold egg close. Ember curls up by her side. Spring is here, and every bright new day brings something wonderful to find. What will tomorrow bring?
