In a soft, glowing forest, little Willow Charms lives in a cozy cottage under a big oak tree. The moon shines silver and blue. The mushrooms twinkle. Shhh… it is nighttime.
But wait! What is that sound? Willow Charms hears something tiny. It goes: sniff, sniff, sniff. Someone is crying! Who could it be?
It is a tiny star! The little star has fallen from the sky. It sits on the soft grass, glowing and sad. Sniff, sniff, sniff. "I want to go home," says the star.
Willow Charms goes to the star. She is gentle. She kneels down close. "Do not cry, little star," she says softly. "I am here. I will help you." When someone is sad, we go to them. We are gentle.
Willow Charms waves her wand. Swoosh! She tries a silly spell. Pop! Pop! Pop! Funny sparkles fly everywhere—pink and green and gold! But the star does not go up. Oh no! The spell did not work.
That is okay! Willow Charms does not give up. She picks up the tiny star very gently. She holds it close. The star feels warm. "I will find help," she says. "We can ask our friends!"
"Hoo hoo!" Here comes a kind owl. The owl has big, round eyes. "Can you help us?" asks Willow Charms. "Yes!" says the kind owl. "I will help lift the star." The owl holds out its wings.
Hop, hop, hop! Here comes a soft bunny. The bunny has long, floppy ears. "Can you help us too?" asks Willow Charms. "Yes!" says the soft bunny. "I will help lift the star!"
Squeak, squeak! Here comes a little mouse. The mouse has a tiny pink nose. "Can you help us too?" asks Willow Charms. "Yes!" says the little mouse. "Even I can help!" Everyone can help—big or small.
Ready? One… two… three! Willow Charms and the kind owl and the soft bunny and the little mouse all lift together. Up, up, UP goes the tiny star! Higher and higher! Whoooosh!
The little star is home! It twinkles bright in the big sky. "Thank you!" calls the star. "Thank you, friends!" Willow Charms and her friends all smile. They helped together. Helping feels so good.
Willow Charms yawns. She waves goodnight to the sky. Tomorrow there may be more stars who need a friend. And Willow Charms will be ready—because the world always needs a little kindness. Goodnight, little one. Goodnight.
